BedrockPlacing FAQ
Nothing happens when I right-click the air. Why?
The usual suspects, in order: you are not holding a block, you are not standing on a block (or the block under you has no sturdy side, see requireSupport), the target cell is beyond reach or already filled, you are holding sneak (sneakDisables), the server does not have the mod, or enabled is false. If none of those fit, see troubleshooting.
Does the server need the mod?
Yes. Placement happens on the server, which re-checks every request. In singleplayer that is your own game, so installing it normally is enough.
Do players need it on their client?
No, but it helps. Players with a vanilla client still get air-click placement through the normal air-click path. The white preview outline and the faster repeat while holding right-click come with the client install.
Why did my block not go up when I jumped?
That is the same-layer lock doing its job: the assist only extends the layer you stand on, so jumping or falling never strands a block above or below your floor. To build upward, click a block face normally as in vanilla.
Is fast bridging fair on servers?
The server validates every placement exactly like a normal click: reach, your own body, and same-tick duplicates are all checked server-side. repeatTicks only lowers the delay between requests while the key is held (2 ticks by default, never faster than 1).
Do stairs, slabs and buttons place correctly?
Yes. Placement goes through vanilla's own placement logic, so stairs face the way you look, buttons attach, and waterlogging works exactly as with a normal click.
Can I turn it off without uninstalling?
Yes. Set enabled to false in config/bedrockplacing.json and run /mycel reload bedrockplacing. Hold sneak to skip it for a single click.
